"So a man came out of the car which was now parked closed with (sic) ours. Policemen approached the car and I thought it was just a routine check. One of the policemen said, ‘Who’s there? Who goes there?’ and shot Ozuah, who then fell flat on the ground. I and the others scampered for safety behind Ozuah car."
Omene also said he "later ran back into the estate to inform Ozuah's wife about what happened."
He said Ozuah who was later rushed to the hospital later died in the hospital.
